Brazilian Butt Lift in Washington, D.C.
Schedule Your ConsultationHaving a shapely, defined buttocks is becoming increasingly more popular.
While exercise might be able to help you achieve some definition, it often cannot provide an adequate increase in size or custom shaping. If you are unhappy with the appearance of your buttocks and desire a fuller, more youthful look, then buttock enhancement might be right for you. The Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) uses micro-fat grafting to add volume and sculpt curvy, shapely buttocks.
What Are the Benefits of a Brazilian Butt Lift?
More Perky Buttocks
The Brazilian Butt Lift shapes and lifts the buttocks. It is the ideal procedure for women who lack definition in their backside. For many, their undefined butt affects the type of pants they can wear and the overall curvaceousness of their silhouette. Restoring perkiness to your buttocks can help create a more youthful and attractive appearance.
An Increase in Size
For women with naturally small buttocks, squats and weight lifting exercises may not provide the enhancement they desire. Transferring fat into the buttocks will increase butt volume as it shapes your glutes. Increasing the size of your buttocks can restore a more balanced body proportion or simply provide you with the lusciousness you desire.
A Natural Appearance
Since fat grafting doesn’t use implants, it consistently yields more natural results than traditional butt augmentation surgery. Dr. Davison and Dr. Pinell customize the shape and size of your buttocks so it looks natural and proportionate to the rest of your body. It is these tailored results that provide unbeatable patient satisfaction.
Confidence
Your buttocks shouldn’t be a source of embarrassment or worry. For many women, restoring balance by increasing the size of their butt helps them feel more comfortable with their appearance. Your new buttocks shape can provide new options for clothing. The greatest benefit of the Brazilian Butt Lift is the confidence you gain by feeling more comfortable and attractive.

(202) 966-9590How Is a Brazilian Butt Lift Performed?
Step 1: Fat Harvesting
The Brazilian Butt Lift uses fat taken from your body to augment your derrière. This allows for multiple body contouring benefits and helps you achieve the desired hourglass figure.
Fat is harvested from a donor area(s) on your body using gentle liposuction techniques. Fat is commonly taken from the abdomen, waist, thighs, or lower back. Fat is taken from here because these areas often collect the most significant amount of excess fat, and fat reduction here will highlight your sculpted physique.
The liposuction techniques used must be very delicate so as to not damage the fat cells. Fat cells must be living in order to successfully graft into the buttocks.
Step 2: Fat Purification
Once the fat has been removed, it is put through a series of purification processes that will isolate the strongest and most viable fat cells for transfer.
Step 3: Fat Injection
The cleansed fat is injected into various locations and depths of the buttocks to provide shapely, even butt contours.
Since the body will absorb some fat, your surgeon will transfer a greater amount of fat than desired.
Addressing Your Concerns
Recovery
You will experience bruising, swelling, and redness on the buttocks and fat removal sites. A compression garment should be worn to minimize swelling and improve healing. You may feel tightness or numbness in your buttocks. You should limit your physical activities for three to four weeks following your procedure; Dr. Davison or Dr. Pinell will advise when you can resume your normal activities. You will need to avoid applying direct pressure to your buttocks for several weeks following your surgery. The majority of patients return to work within two weeks of treatment. Most major swelling begins to subside by six weeks, which is when your results will become visible.
Scars
The fat removal and injection process requires only small incision sites. Incisions used for fat removal are usually placed in easily concealed locations. Most patients don’t experience visible scarring. However, because each patient is unique, scarring may develop. Any scarring that does develop is likely to fade over time.
Pain
The Brazilian Butt Lift is performed using general anesthesia, and the procedure is painless. You might experience some discomfort during your recovery, which can be controlled using an oral pain medication.

How is fat harvested for grafting?
Liposuction is used to harvest fat from troublesome areas. The fat is then purified of blood and oil to prepare it for injection.
Where will my surgery be performed?
Dr. Davison and Dr. Pinell perform surgeries in a certified, state-of-the-art surgery center that is equipped with the most advanced technologies available.
What areas can fat be harvested from?
We choose fat donor sites based on locations that have excess fatty tissue present. For many patients, this is either the abdomen, hips, thighs, inner legs, or back.
What happens if I don’t have enough fat for grafting?
Not every patient is a good candidate for fat grafting. If you don’t have adequate excess fat stores, you might consider buttock augmentation using implants.
Will I be able to feel the difference between grafted and non-grafted areas?
No. Grafted and non-grafted areas of the buttocks will feel alike and maintain a natural appearance.
How much does a Brazilian Butt Lift Cost?
The final cost of your Brazilian Butt Lift will vary depending on the amount of fat harvested and transferred and the number of areas requiring liposuction. Additional cost factors will include surgeon, facility, and anesthesia fees. You will be provided with an accurate cost estimate during your consultation that will take the above into account.
Davinci Plastic Surgery offers financing options to help you pay for your procedure.

How should I prepare for my Brazilian Butt Lift?
Patients should prepare for their BBL by getting all necessary tests and evaluations (as recommended by Dr. Davison and Dr. Pinell). Patients will be asked to stop smoking for at least two weeks before and after their surgery and refrain from taking any blood-thinning medications and herbal supplements. These include aspirin, ibuprofen, and NSAIDs.
If you require these medications for your health, be sure to discuss this with your plastic surgeon as well as your primary physician.
Will I need a Brazilian Butt Lift recovery pillow?
Because of the nature and location of the BBL treatment, you will be asked to avoid sitting, lying, or putting any pressure on your buttocks for several weeks after treatment. Because this can be difficult in everyday life, Brazilian Butt Lift pillows and other recovery tools can be beneficial. You can find Brazilian Butt Lift pillows for sale online. Many women also choose to use boppy pillows (commonly used for nursing) to support the area around the buttocks without putting direct pressure on the transferred fat.
