Cheek Augmentation in Washington, D.C.
Schedule Your ConsultationThe most attractive celebrities often have these well-chiseled, defined cheeks that wonderfully complement their jawline.
If you feel that your facial features lack definition or drama, cheek augmentation may be right for you.
Who Can Benefit?
Underdeveloped Cheekbones
High cheekbones that create attractive definition can be created through cheek augmentation. Prominent cheeks can help you seem more expressive and can define your facial features. High cheekbones can accentuate your smile and highlight your eyes.
Poorly Balanced Facial Features
Undefined cheekbones can lead to poorly balanced facial features. Your nose and jaw may present more pronounced, making those features appear more unattractive. Your eyes can look hollow or sunken. Implants can restore an attractive facial balance.
Natural Aesthetic
People who desire a cheek augmentation also want their results to look natural and flawless. Dr. Davison and Dr. Pinell focus on the anatomical shape of the face and tailors each treatment to fit your facial needs. This attention to detail helps create beautifully natural results.
Dr. Davison and Dr. Pinell consider your consultation crucial and spend the time needed to fully understand your concerns and expectations as well as your candidacy for the procedure. After meeting with one of our dedicated surgeons, you can expect to be provided with a treatment plan that is tailored to meet your unique needs and goals.

Cheek augmentation is performed by placing a specially placed implant into a pocket along the cheek. Implants can be created from a variety of materials, and they come in numerous shapes and sizes so that they can be perfectly tailored to your facial contour.
To place implants, your surgeon makes an incision inside the mouth and crafts the implant pocket. The implant is placed in front of the jawbone and is positioned until it creates the desired cheek shape. Sterile tape strips placed outside of the mouth help hold the implant in place throughout your recovery.
Addressing Any Concerns
Recovery
You will experience swelling, bruising, and redness following your surgery. You will need to rest with your head elevated for 24 hours following your procedure. You should be able to return to work within several days but should avoid all strenuous physical activities for one to two weeks after surgery. Most significant swelling should subside within six weeks.
Scars
Incisions are placed inside the mouth or below the eyelid and do not result in any visible scarring.
Cost
Many factors affect the cost of cheek augmentation surgery. Geographical location, facility fees, anesthesia fees, and surgeon fees alter the final cost of your procedure. However, the price should only be one factor in choosing a surgeon. You should never sacrifice quality work by a board-certified plastic surgeon just to save some money. Proven results matter. Financing is available if needed.
Pain
There is some discomfort associated with the procedure. Dr. Davison and Dr. Pinell use placement techniques to help minimize your discomfort, and pain medication may be taken if needed.
