Today’s women are enlightened on cosmetic procedures. Nipple reduction is very popular because many women feel their nipples are too large, too prominent, too droopy or out of balance with their body. Nipple Reduction is done commonly today for women. They choose this procedure because they are unhappy with nipples they feel are too wide or just too large for their breast.

Why Have A Nipple Reduction Surgery?

Because our society today is more enlightened, and Millennials regularly have cosmetic procedures done as part of their regular health care routine, women of all ages today are choosing to “not just live with” nipples they don’t like. They know we can correct oversized nipples and create the form, balance and symmetry they desire.

Breast form, balance and symmetry frequently impacts how people feel about their appearance. This often causes problems in choosing clothing and activities.

Consultation

The initial consultation is critical. He does his consultations face to face, during which time he listens closely to your concerns. He believes this time is critical to both you and him, since out of the consultation evolves a clear understanding of your concerns. From this he is able to evaluate and make correct recommendations for your tailored treatment plan.

Nipple Reduction Procedure

The nipple is defined in two parts: the nipple and the areola. The nipple is the central part that projects and the areola is the pigmented area around the nipple.

Dr. Davison and Dr. Pinell make very small incisions through which they work to remove tissues, change the nipple length and diameter and to improve overall contour and balance. If the areola is too puffy, they will correct it during this surgery. Many of their patients choose to combine their nipple reduction surgery with a Breast Lift or Breast Augmentation to get the optimal results they are looking for.

Nipple Reduction FAQs

Is Nipple Reduction Surgery Painful?

There is some discomfort with all surgeries. However, our surgeons employ advanced techniques, refined instruments, tiny incisions and expert skill to ensure minimal discomfort. You will also be given general anesthesia to keep you totally comfortable through your entire procedure.

Where Will My Surgery be Performed?

Dr. Davison and Dr. Pinell perform surgeries in a state-of-the-art surgical center that is certified and fully equipped with the most advanced technologies available today…the same as an emergency room.

How Will I Feel After Surgery?

Some bruising, achiness and soreness or stiffness is common after a surgery.  This all resolves on its own over a few days but is easily managed with oral pain medication if needed.

Can I Drive Myself to the Surgery Center?

No.  You must have a responsible adult drive you to and from surgery and stay with you at least overnight.  Having help for a few days is also a very good idea.

When Can I Return to Work and Other Activities?

You should be able to resume normal activities within a few days.  However, your surgeon will advise you on this during your in-office follow up visit.

Will Insurance Pay For My Nipple Reduction Surgery?

No. Cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance unless it is deemed medically necessary.  Check with your insurance provider on this.

Is Financing Available for Nipple Reduction Surgery?

Yes. We have complete information on this in our business office. Be sure to check with us about financing.
