What can I expect after a RADIESSE® treatment?
Mild irritation, swelling, itching, bruising and tenderness may occur at the injection site(s), but resolve quickly on their own.
What kind of downtime is involved after a RADIESSE® treatment?
Patients are able to return to normal activities very soon after a treatment. This varies with each patient and many return to work right away. Mineral Makeup can be applied to effectively camouflage any bruising or swelling.
Is pre-testing needed before a RADIESSE® treatment?
No – pre-testing is not required because it is not a bovine or porcine product and does not cause allergic reactions.
What is RADIESSE® made from?
Calcium-based microspheres which are suspended in a natural gel comprise the RADIESSE® formula. Calcium hydroxyapatite is a substance found naturally in the body. So RADIESSE® is a natural formula that achieves natural looking results.
